Theresa Pecku-Laryea is a writer, storyteller and the founder of the Atelier Mime Dramatique. She read English at Duke University and went on to receive her Master of Arts in English from the University of Virginia. She wrote her Master's thesis on the Oxford Book of Vampiric Verse, which led to her first collection of short stories, "Vampire Blues," which was nominated for a Society of Midland Authors Award in 2009. Her short stories have appeared in numerous anthologies including "Cabinet of Curiosities," "Urban Gothic," "The Best American Short Stories." She has also written for magazines including "New York Daily News," "Caribbean Sun," "The Daily Beast" and has worked as an editor for Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation.
